Mr. Shinichi KONNORepresentative/ Chief builder

The brand was founded by Hitoshi Konno in 1965. He has a proven track record, including providing the frame that set a new Japanese record (6th place) in the 1000m TT at the Mexico Olympics. He is known as a master welder and an imaginative frame builder. He was one of the first to introduce computer technology into frame design and has released a number of highly original bodies, including concept models at bike shows.

His predecessor's passion for frame building was passed on to his son, Shinichi Konno (born 1972). Based on the belief that "the best bike is a custom steel frame that can be adapted to the rider's physique, riding style and preferences", the company continues to create bikes of functional beauty that combine the best ride with a shape that appeals to the rider at a high level, without being bound by existing ideas.

Mr. Konno and several other staff members make frames in the workshop in Machida City, Tokyo, primarily from steel. A number of original frame accessories, such as sleeves and dropouts, are available for total research, from performance to aesthetics. Recently, the company has also started to produce its own paints, further enhancing Cherubim's worldview.

In April 2021, a café, Cherubim Café, opened near Machida Station on the Odakyu Line.
